October 09, 2026
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais delivered a sermon emphasizing that modern communication technologies and artificial intelligence are blessings from Allah that must be met with gratitude and used in His obedience. He strongly warned against the misuse of these platforms to spread rumors, fabricate clips, forge voices, or impersonate others using AI, reminding the congregation that every word is recorded as per the Quranic verse, 'Not a word does he utter but there is a watcher by him, ready.' The Imam highlighted the gravity of speech, citing the narration of the Prophet (ﷺ) regarding how a single word can elevate a person's status or plunge them into the Hellfire. Additionally, he condemned Houthi militia attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and civilians, declaring the security of the Two Holy Mosques a red line, before praying for the leadership, security forces, and the people of Palestine.
