Sheikh Faisal Ghazzawi delivered a powerful sermon on the vital importance of taking heed and learning from lessons to rectify one's path and avoid repeating past mistakes. He highlighted that humans are inherently weak and prone to error, but the wise believer remains alert and learns from both personal missteps and the fates of previous generations. Drawing from the Quran, the Imam recounted the stories of Nuh (peace be upon him) and the ark, the people of Lut (peace be upon him), and the destruction of 'Ad, Thamud, and the Companions of the Elephant as divine warnings. He quoted the Prophet (ﷺ) who warned that a believer is not stung from the same hole twice, emphasizing that reflection guards against spiritual ruin. Ultimately, he urged the congregation to engage in constant self-reckoning, emulate the righteous, and turn back to Allah in sincere repentance whenever they err.
