Upholding Ties and Fulfilling Covenants with Allah

In his Friday sermon at Masjid al-Haram, Sheikh Abdullah Awad Al-Juhany emphasized the immense virtues of those who fulfill their covenants with Allah and maintain the relationships that He has commanded to be joined. Upholding family ties (silat ar-rahim), showing kindness to parents, and supporting the poor, orphans, and neighbors are central pillars of a believer's conduct. The Sheikh warned against the spiritual dangers of severing these bonds, noting that true believers remain mindful of their accountability on the Day of Judgment. He urged the congregation to perform prayers consistently, spend charitably both secretly and openly, and maintain patience to secure a blessed final abode. Finally, he concluded with a sincere prayer for rain, mercy, and divine blessings upon the Muslim Ummah.
