The sermon by Sheikh Yasir al-Dawsari emphasized the profound importance of believing in Qada' and Qadar (Divine Decree and Destiny) as a fundamental pillar of faith, quoting a Hadith that highlights its necessity for good deeds to be accepted. He elucidated the four stages of this belief: Allah's comprehensive Knowledge of all things, His writing of all destinies in the Preserved Tablet, His absolute Will and Intention guiding all occurrences, and His sole act of Creation. The Sheikh clarified that human will exists but is subservient to divine will, and that Qadar is Allah's secret in His creation, to be accepted with submission and contentment. He cited Quranic verses such as, “Indeed, all things We created with predestination” (54:49) and “And He created everything and determined its [final] determination” (25:2). The sermon outlined the immense benefits of this belief, including inner peace, patience during trials, freedom from envy, and unwavering reliance on Allah's wisdom and power. It concluded with a reminder that Allah guides the heart of whoever believes in Him (64:11).
