The sermon from Masjid al-Haram, delivered by Sheikh Saleh bin Abdullah al-Humaid, emphasized that human righteousness originates from pure hearts and souls, nourished by faith, the Quran, good speech, righteous deeds, and noble character. It highlighted that true bliss stems from a heart filled with faith, making one independent of worldly pleasures. The discourse also explored the concept of Zuhd (asceticism) as detachment from worldly desires, not necessarily wealth itself, and stressed the importance of Yaqeen (certainty) in Allah for inner peace and contentment. With the approaching month of Ramadan, the sermon urged Muslims to prepare for this month of Taqwa, which purifies the soul and brings immense spiritual rewards, while warning against neglecting its spiritual benefits and engaging in sinful acts. The sermon concluded with fervent prayers for the Muslim Ummah and for abundant rain.
