The sermon highlights envy as a perilous spiritual ailment that corrupts hearts, causing perpetual grief and hatred. It manifests as wishing for others' blessings to vanish, with the worst form being desiring their loss even without personal gain. Envy was the root of the first sins in both heaven and earth, a trait condemned in the Quran and Sunnah for consuming good deeds. The Imam advises seeking divine guidance, cultivating love for others' well-being, and associating with the righteous as remedies against this destructive emotion. Ultimately, envy is a rejection of Allah's divine will and leads to severe accountability in the hereafter.
