Sheikh Bandar Baleelah's sermon highlighted the intense summer heat as a divine reminder of Hellfire and Allah's immense power and wisdom in all creation. He cited a Hadith describing the sun's proximity on Judgment Day and people's varying degrees of sweat, as well as Hellfire's complaint to its Lord and its two breaths (summer and winter). The Sheikh encouraged believers to be patient with hardships, as they expiate sins and elevate ranks, and to be grateful for modern amenities that alleviate heat. He urged helping the poor and needy, especially by providing cold water, and noted the permissibility of delaying compensatory fasting until cooler days, referencing Aisha's practice.
