Masjid al-Haram, Makkah
January 17, 2025
The sermon highlights the significance of seeking protection through Ruqyah (Islamic healing) from various afflictions like magic, evil eye, and envy, which are prevalent in society. It emphasizes that the Quran and Sunnah are the ultimate cure for all spiritual and physical ailments, citing Imam Ibn al-Qayyim's view that the Quran is a complete healing. The speaker encourages Muslims to recite specific Quranic chapters and verses, such as Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat al-Kursiy, and Al-Mu'awwidhatayn, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It warns against falling prey to charlatans and magicians who exploit people's vulnerabilities with deceptive practices, stressing that true protection comes from Allah alone through legitimate means. The sermon concludes by urging believers to strengthen their faith, rely entirely on Allah, and consistently engage in prescribed supplications for safeguarding themselves, their families, and their communities.
