Divine Wisdom in Wealth, Poverty, and Provision

Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al-Qasim delivered a sermon centered on Divine wisdom regarding the distribution of wealth and poverty among mankind. He explained that Allah's variation of provisions is a purposeful design to facilitate mutual cooperation and the progression of human life on Earth. The Imam clarified that material abundance is not an indication of divine favor, nor is financial hardship a sign of divine humiliation, as both are trials of patience and gratitude. To illustrate this, he noted that noble prophets like Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Sulaiman (peace be upon him) were wealthy, while Isa (peace be upon him) and Yahya (peace be upon him) lived in poverty. He concluded by emphasizing that the Prophet (ﷺ) embodied the perfect balance of patience in hardship and gratitude in ease, and that true success lies in divine guidance and a sound heart.
