Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify
Masjid an-Nabawi, Madinah
August 28, 2026
At Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify addressed the congregation on the vital importance of education, character building, and responsibility at the start of the school year. He explained that children are born upon a natural state of belief, and it is the duty of parents and educators to guide them toward righteousness and beneficial knowledge. The Sheikh emphasized that while Shariah knowledge is supreme because its benefits extend to the Hereafter, worldly sciences like medicine, engineering, and agriculture are also essential and highly rewarded when pursued with sincere intentions to benefit society. He urged students to approach their studies with diligence and high aspirations, reminding them of the Prophet's (ﷺ) (e0) guidance to teach children prayer and good manners from a young age. The sermon concluded with earnest prayers for the protection of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people of Palestine.
