Safeguarding Allah's Commandments: Reflections on the Hadith of Ibn Abbas

At Masjid an-Nabawi, Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify focused his sermon on the profound spiritual and practical lessons derived from the famous advice of the Prophet Muhammad to Ibn Abbas: 'Be mindful of Allah, and He will protect you.' The Sheikh explained that safeguarding Allah's limits, performing His obligations, and avoiding His prohibitions are the ultimate means to secure divine protection in one's faith, worldly life, family, and hereafter. He emphasized that complete reliance and supplication belong to Allah alone, urging believers to seek help solely from Him. Furthermore, the sermon highlighted the reality of divine decree (Qadar), reminding the audience that knowing Allah in times of ease ensures His unwavering support during times of hardship.
