Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify's sermon profoundly elucidated the significance of a "sound heart" (Qalb Saleem) as the bedrock of true faith and righteous conduct, referencing the teachings of Ibn al-Qayyim. He defined the sound heart as one cleansed of desires contradicting Allah's commands, doubts opposing His revelation, and servitude to anything other than Him. Such a heart is characterized by pure love for Allah, complete reliance, fear, hope, and humility, with all its actions solely for His sake. The sermon contrasted this with a diseased heart, urging believers to strive for purification through remembrance of Allah, seeking forgiveness, and adhering to the Sunnah. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a heart that ensures success in this life and on the Day of Judgment, reflecting Allah's pleasure, concluding with fervent supplications for the Ummah, its leaders, and oppressed Muslims, especially in Palestine.
