Sheikh Ali Al-Hudhaify's sermon focused on piety (Taqwa) and good character (Husn al-Khuluq) as fundamental pillars of Islam. He emphasized that Taqwa is the criterion for honor with Allah, as stated in the Quran: "Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you" (49:13). The sermon highlighted that good character is a defining trait of the righteous, referencing the Quranic description of those who control anger and pardon people (3:133-134). He reiterated the Prophet's teaching: "Fear Allah wherever you are, and follow a bad deed with a good deed that will wipe it out, and treat people with good manners," underscoring that good character is integral to faith and should be consistently practiced in all interactions, especially within the family. The sermon concluded by reminding listeners that good character is heavy on the scales of deeds and brings believers closer to the Prophet on the Day of Judgment.
