The Exclusive Right of Allah to Worship and the Invalidity of Polytheism

Sheikh Abdul Muhsin Al-Qasim delivered a sermon on the fundamental principle of Tawhid (Oneness of Allah) and the invalidity of polytheism. He asserted that Allah created humankind solely for His worship, emphasizing that only He possesses perfect knowledge, absolute power, and complete self-sufficiency. The Sheikh explained that false deities, whether idols, prophets, or righteous individuals, lack these divine attributes; they cannot create, possess nothing, cannot speak or guide, hear prayers, or bring benefit or harm. He cited Ibrahim's challenge to Nimrod and the Quranic verse (22:73) about the inability of false gods to create even a fly, highlighting that turning to anything other than Allah for help, especially in times of distress, is futile and leads to the nullification of all good deeds, reinforcing that true worship is grounded in knowledge, not blind imitation.
